Cẩm Giang bronze drum is currently stored at the . It is one of 37 artifacts that were recognized as the National Treasures according to the Decision No. 2599/QĐ-TTg signed by the Prime Minister of Việt Nam on December 30^th, 2013.

On September 30^th, 1992, Mr. Bùi Đức Tậu at , Cẩm Giang Commune, Cẩm Thủy District, , found this drum when he was gardening. On June 1^st, 1993, he voluntarily handed the drum over to the .

Cẩm Giang drum has a nice design. Its well-balanced body is divided into three distinct sections: barrel, back, and bottom.

The surface of the drum slightly covers the barrel. Right in the middle of the surface there is a shape of 16-pointed star. From the center to the edge, there are 9 rings of decorative patterns including: geometric patterns, bird patterns. There are 4 duck statues standing equidistantly and counter-clockwise at four positions, one of which was already lost.

There are five bands of patterns on the drum’s barrel, which consist of geometric patterns, stylized motif of people decorated themselves with bird feathers.

On the back of the drum, there are three bands of patterns which are also geometric patterns, stylized motif of people decorated themselves with bird feathers.

There is no pattern at the bottom of the drum.

There are two C-shaped twin handles. Its outer are decorated with relief lines.

According to the design and decorative patterns on Cẩm Giang bronze drum, it is classified to belong to type Heger I, group C, category C₂.

The unique and typical features of Cẩm Giang bronze drum has enriched the collection of Đông Sơn bronze drums in Việt Nam, which helps to assert that there was Đông Sơn Culture in Việt Nam and Việt Nam has had a tradition of casting and using bronze drums for a very long time.

They reflect casting techniques, social life and culture and ideology at the time they were made. They are a vivid picture that reflects intelligence and creativity of the ancient Việt.
