Mrs. Hà Thị Nú is a Thái person in Chiềng Kẽm, Yên Khương Commune, Lang Chánh District, . During the resistance war against French colonialism, she joined the local guerilla militia. At that time, she enthusiastically did production while some people were cheated and thus followed banditry in the Việt Nam-Laos border. Mrs. Nú and other women mobilized these people to return home. With achievements gained in her work, On May 1^st, 1955, Mrs. Nú and four men who were excellent representatives of guerrillas were honored to attend a meeting in Hà Nội to welcome Uncle Ho and the army that won the Điện Biên Phủ battle returning to the capital.

In 1956, Mrs. Nú, an excellent representative of guerrillas, attended the Meeting reviewing land reform and production increase that was held in Vinh (Nghệ An Province). After that, she was appointed to the delegation of mountainous peoples in Thanh Hóa and Nghệ An to travel to Hà Nội and attend the celebration of the National Day on September 2^nd. In , the delegation had a chance to meet with Uncle Ho. In the meeting, after praising achievements gained by the people in Thanh Hóa and Nghệ An, giving regards and advices to the people, Uncle Ho gave presents to the delegates according to the proposal of each person. Almost all delegates proposed Uncle Ho for a piece of cloth. Mrs. Nú asked Uncle Ho for a small bronze pot.

The bronze pot gifted by Uncle Ho was with Mrs. Nú’s family since then. Later, when she heard the news that Uncle Ho passed away, she washed the bronze pot thoroughly and respectfully put it on the altar to pay homage to him.

On December 4^th, 2004, it was Mrs. Nú who directly donated the bronze pot, the keepsake from Uncle Ho, to the ’s , now the ’s Museum, for exhibition. The donation contributed to the development of the object’s value itself as well as to the education of the public about the historical and revolutionary tradition of . It has been over 10 years since then. The gallery Thanh Hóa in the cause of constructing and defending the country in 1945 -1975 has been revised and upgraded. However, Mrs. Hà Thị Nú’s bronze pot has remained one of the objects on display in the formal introduction about the achievements that the Thanh Hóa Provincial Party and its people have gained in 10 years of building socialism (1954-1964).
